*phew* It's done! I think it was a few weeks ago that I did the lineart, and I finally colored it. Besides that tree I did in the background experiments, this is the first time I've done any trees & foliage in a full CG. Suggestions would be great, since I had no idea what I was doing... x_X
The sun dapple shadow things were made by taking photos of some trees and using that as a type of shadow map (detailed explination takes tooooo~ long).
Like most pics that end up taking 3 or 4+ days to color, I ended up getting really bored with it and rushed the end... Sigh.

The fairy is my rendition of Puck from Shakespear's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

That's extremely gorgeous. I mean... extremely. The only thing I would suggest, since you like advanced critique... is the fact that the middle background trees (right behind him) are all the same color as the foreground trees. Maybe a bit more shadow on one of the layers would make it better.

But it's still extremely gorgeous and I want to steal you away. Or... at least your talent :D
Wow ^^ Pretty.

Since you want 'advanced critiques'.. Try taking the lines out and see how it looks. If it still looks great, then bravo - often you'll find something isn't defined enough and looks wierd without the lines. I like the way you've done the tree-bark, very cool :D

Thanks for the idea! I'll try it out the next time I do a full CG like this.
Oh, thanks for pointing that out! I kept looking at the trees for about an hour thinking "I know something looks strange in the hue but wtf IS it?!"
:D Maybe that's it.
Great, can't wait to see it! :D

Really cool! I think it all looks great! The tress look almost transparent, like you can see the branches behind them. It really adds to the picture, almost like the forest in enchanted.

I want to do that ;\

Looks fabulous- the colors and the mood and the setting- gorgeous
i'm really impressed... Perhaps the foreground trees should have been a little darker to addl more deepth in the forest, but then you could loose the semi transparent effect, and i don't known if it was meant.
I absoluty love the character. He's exactly what I imagine when thinking about him.
Wonderful job.
Whoa, this is so beautiful! I adore the soft colors and his sneaky pose! Very cool!
